Marianne island is located to the East of Felicité and La digue. It is a granitic island that used to be a coconut plantation and a centre for copra production.
Today it is Mariannes’ underwater granite formations that make it a favourite among divers. It has an underwater tunnel at around 20 metres below sea level and many types of plant and animal life can be observed there. Additionally during the months of October and November, something in nature calls Grey Reef Sharks to group around Marianne. That is spectacular to see!
